Art is longing. You never arrive, but you keep going in the hope that you will.

Ladakh situated in Northern India with its majestic beauty was voted by Times magazine as one of the 50 most wonderful places in the world in 2023. Ladakh to the east borders the Tibet autonomous region, to the west it borders the state of Himachal Pradesh. This place is covered with hills, mountains, clear blue lakes, valleys, interspersed with small villages or ancient monasteries. Ladakh suddenly appears through the cover of a barren land but is where nature lives in its purest, most primitive form. Lush green grass, quiet lakes, poetic valleys, and breathtaking mountain passes through both sides of rolling hills and mountains blend together to create scenery that is sometimes so beautiful it's surreal. I visited Turtuk village which is the only border village that tourists are allowed to visit. This ancient village inhabited by Muslims is also the last town in India where prominent Balti culture still exists. In this village, I took many
impressive portraits of typical faces of Ladakh culture. When I discovered lovely faces, I quickly got acquainted and chatted happily with the models and then asked permission to take pictures of them, thanks to which the interaction between the model and the photographer made the portraits come true natural and lively.
