Each finished ceramic product goes through many stages from grounding, shaping, cutting mold, drying, firing, grafting… with the participation of many people. Phu Lang ceramic materials are made from red-pink soil “bones” taken from Thong Vat and Cung Khiem areas (Bac Giang).

Under the skillful hands of the craftsmen, the clay is finely tempered, ensuring a certain degree of flexibility and smoothness, and shaped on a manual turntable or on a mold, into many different products, waiting for the production to take place. The product will shrink and then proceed to glaze, then wait for it to dry and put it in the kiln.

Each stage is carefully and meticulously cared for by potters until a ceramic product is born and meets the standards that must have eel skin color or cockroach wing color. Knock into it must have echo, otherwise will be disqualified. In order to maintain and develop the craft village, at present, many ceramic production facilities have actively cooperated with travel agency to bring tourists, students to the locality to visit and experience pottery making with Pottery artists.
